In Clark County, we have a giant amount of land that is unincorporated. This means it is not part of a city or town. In those areas, Clark County Commissioners act in an expanded capcity to support the roads, infrastructure, permits, and safety of the residents. We need more engagement from the community and the commmissioners to move the county forward.
Through direct engagement with the community we can gain support for broader initiatives that expand our Water, Housing, and Transportation infrastructure.
We are all aware of our water issues, but they are not ours alone. Our effort to conserve and reuse water should be a model up and down the river. The gallon of water used in Clark County is better used than anywhere on the river. The ongoing negotiations about water rights are caught in a capitalist lock, where major users of water hold outsized influence on the political choices around water rights.

Water is wrapped up in housing and infrastructure, and deeply tied to our ability to grow. With an estimated million person increase in population by 2060, preparation should begin now, for solutions to all of these structural issues.
